What we do

We offer at-home, in-person tutoring to:

Primary school students in years 4 - 6 (High School Preparation).

High School Students in years 7-10.

Senior students in years 11-12 doing both the IB and HSC.

Our Lesson style:

Relationships:

We build fun and personal relationships with our students, making lessons feel like an emotional relief, rather than a continuation of school.

Constant Feedback:

We pride ourselves on our thorough feedback and lesson recaps each to our parents, as success is a mutual endeavour.

Homework:

With a true aim to guide, homework between lessons is assigned, for knowledge retention and to build healthy study habits.

24/7 Support:

We try our best to mentor throughout the whole journey, so our tutors are available for 24/7 support.

About Arete Tutoring

Our story from Head Tutor Stratos

After graduating from Newington College with a 99 ATAR, I experienced several different tutoring services along the way. I felt that tutoring services were too institutionalized, which made lessons stressful, impersonal and a struggle to gain tailored feedback that would help. To help future students, at the end of 2023 I decided to gather a small group of not just high-performing, but empathetic graduates to form Arete tutoring: the small, student-tailored mentoring service that I felt the community needed.
